Truly special | d’Albora Marine lists 1983 Lloyds 34 ‘Southern Cross II’

In connection with the Americas Cup and at the request of Mr Alan Bond, Southern Cross II was built by renowned Brisbane shipyard Lloyds Ships to a Jack Hargrave (USA) design.  The vision was big and was well delivered.  Southern Cross II is a pedigree full aluminium motor yacht with a timeless exterior and interior design, terrific sea keeping, performance and world sailing capability.

Certainly she has delivered.  Southern Cross II has travelled the world and regularly fetches comments about her exquisite lines and beauty.

Built is 1983, Southern Cross II is a 110ft full aluminium flybridge motor yacht with 3 stately cabins each with ensuites, a generous main deck study and very crew quarters which might act as additional accommodation.  She has an economical cruise of 9 to 12 knots and a top speed of 22 knots, range is up to 4000 nautical miles.

The main deck features a stunning light filled enclosed aft deck with natural air and two dining settings either side and an amenity station.  Moving forward there is a generous dining and lounge arrangement and full audio visual including satellite TV.  Forward again there is a spacious galley with all the appliance one would expect including two wine fridges.  Opposite there is a day head for guests and heading towards the crew one passes though a beautiful study which has door either side and lots of natural light.

Accessible through two separate staircase is the upper deck.  This features a comfortable lounge with refrigeration and ice maker and double doors to outside – a smaller but very popular spot onboard offering some quiet and great views.  Aft on this deck there is a large section for toys which include a tender and jetski and crane.

Having received much love and care, the machinery and engine rooms will impress on inspection.  There is plenty of space, head room and activity and she is clean and tidy throughout.

Parties who might be interested in trading alternative assets such as property, cars and boats are welcome.
