1929 Percy Coverdale Windward II

LOCATION | VIC

Here’s your chance to own a piece of Australian Yachting history – Windward II.

Built in Tasmania in 1929 by Percy Coverdale and undergoing a substantial re-fit in 2006, Windward II reeks of history.

The craftsmanship and detail in this wooden yacht are timeless and is a beautiful example of yacht design whether sitting stationary on the wharf or under full sail in, cruising in the bay or ocean.

Once owned by Sir James Hardie who was often seen on Sydney Harbour sailing her in his blazer and tie, Windward II is a classic timber yacht, perfect for a long afternoon sailing with family and friends or equally as at home on raceday at the club.

Testament to her beauty - Windward II is a two-time winner of the Concourse de’ Elegance at the Geelong Wooden Boat Festival (2011, 2014).

At 44 feet, Windward II strikes a bold figure, sleeps six, is equipped with a stove and a Bukh DV24 engine.

Berth at St. Kilda Yacht Squadron also available for negotiation.
